Belcha, from Donkey Kong Country 3, is one of my favorite bosses from the Donkey Kong Country series. I wanted to re-create Belcha to fit modern-day graphics capabilities.
I used 3ds Max for base modeling.
ZBrush for sculpting the high-poly.
Used Kinematic LAB's TopologiK inside 3ds Max for retoplogy.
I then used Marmoset Toolbag 4 for baking.
Then I used Substance Painter for all texturing.
Then back to Marmoset Toolbag 4 for beauty renders.
Then finally Photoshop for final compositions and presentation shots.
